fourth street live louisville 4 star hotel
If you're looking for a luxury hotel in Louisville, you'll have to settle for 4 star accommodation. Fortunately, though, even though no 5 star hotels exist in the city, there are more than a few 4 star hotels to choose from. From the Galt House to The Brown Hotel, these distinguished establishments consistently provide exceptional service, and they also boast a wide-range of amenities, including spas, transportation services and more. Here's a look at some of the city's most renowned 4 star hotels.

The Galt House
Located downtown Louisville, the Galt House Hotel sits conveniently four blocks from Fourth Street Live, which offers entertainment around the clock, including Hard Rock Cafe and an assortment of clubs. If you're attending a concert at the KFC Yum Center, lodging at the Galt House is ideal because it is connected by skywalk. You'll also enjoy a revolving rooftop restaurant, and not to forget a glass-domed conservatory.

The Brown Hotel
Abounding in an antique Southern style, The Brown Hotel provides goose down feather beds, covered in sheets with a 310-thread count. When you walk into the hotel, you'll feel as if you've stepped back into the 1800's, but rest assured that all of today's popular amenities are included. From free Wi-Fi to conceirge services to a bar and lounge, the Brown Hotel is perfect for both family and romantic getaways.

21c Museum Hotel
If 5 star hotel accommodations are what you're in search of, then the 21c Museum Hotel with a 4.5 star (rounding up to 5) rating is about as close as you'll get in Louisville. Located opposite of the Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft as well as the Louisville Science Center, this hotel is the perfect place to stay if you're exploring the city's museums. In fact, the Louisville Slugger Museum in only a short block away. All rooms come with 42-inch flatscreen TVs, Herman Miller chairs and a minibar.

The Seelbach Hilton
This hotel is another one that is conveniently located to Louisville's top entertainment hot spots, including Fourth Street Live, the KFC Yum Center and Riverfront Plaza Belvedere. Booking a room at The Seelbach Hilton means you'll enjoy roundtrip airport shuttle services as well as fitness facilities and optional limo transportation. Do keep in mind, though, that if you need Wi-Fi access, then the Seelback is not the place to book your stay. This lodging facility charges nearly $13 a day for access to their Wi-Fi.

Marriott Louisville Downtown
Much the same as other 4 star hotels located in Downtown Louisville, the Marriott Louisville Downtown provides top-notch guest service, including express check-out, a multilingual staff, 24-hour front desk and even laundry services. This is another hotel that charges for Wi-Fi access, but you will most certainly find the premium bedding, blackout drapes and indoor pool and spa to be quite delightful.

From museums to concerts to business meetings, there are many reasons that you might be looking for hotel accommodations in Louisville. And although the city doesn't offer any 5 star lodging options, you will find a nice mixture of affordable 4 star hotel options.
