The internet is a powerful tool, and taking advantage of web-based improvements will give your business in Leitchfield, KY, the boost it needs to succeed. Whether you are building an online presence from scratch or optimizing an existing website, there are key steps you can take to ensure that your website is accessible, user-friendly, and secure. Additionally, setting up a reliable storefront in Leitchfield will help increase conversions. Finally, if you’re looking for further education related to web-based projects, learning to code or even earning a degree will be beneficial. Today, Lucy Reed and Whitney Cann dive into these topics in more detail. Investing in Security Features Security should always come first when it comes to web-based projects. Keeping up with the latest cybersecurity trends will protect your website against potential threats and keep customer data secure across all platforms. Investing in features such as encrypted data storage and robust firewalls will ensure that customers feel safe interacting with your business online, which will increase conversions and customer loyalty. Assess Your Website for User-Friendliness Ensuring that your website comes optimized for mobile and other devices is essential in this day and age. No one wants to scroll through pages of text on their phone. Instead, they want quick access to the information they need or the products they want. Also, make sure that your website is easy to navigate. No one should have to hunt around for what they’re looking for. Applying SEO concepts will also help improve the visibility of your website and increase traffic. Make Online Shopping Easy With a Reliable Storefront If you’re looking to sell products via your website, setting up a reliable e-commerce storefront is essential—and not just from an aesthetic standpoint either. Using safe and reliable payment gateways such as PayPal or Stripe will help customers feel safe buying from you online. It makes it easier for them to purchase items quickly and securely without having to worry about complicated checkout processes or the security risks associated with entering credit card information online. Learn About Content Management It’s also crucial that you learn about content management, which, put simply, is a system or app that allows you to create and deliver high-quality digital content. Having a Content Management System (CMS) in place allows you to work more efficiently and mindfully, meaning less effort and better results. If you aren’t sure how to get started, here's a possible solution that walks you through the process of setting up your own CMS. Learn More About Freelance Contracts Working with freelancers in Leitchfield is another great way to boost your business. It’s a good idea to brush up on contracts first, though, which include payment terms and copyright information. Freelancers can make a huge difference in your business because they allow you a great deal of flexibility and can also come with a great deal of savings. Learn to Code Having basic coding skills can be invaluable when it comes to troubleshooting issues within your site or making minor tweaks here and there. Even if you don’t have time to become a full-on coder yourself, having enough knowledge of HTML or CSS will be incredibly helpful when dealing with web-related tasks like updating content or debugging. Learning how different coding languages work together will help ensure that new web elements integrate properly into your existing framework without causing any unexpected issues down the line. If you’re looking to get started, Code Profs can help! Take Your Learning to the Next Level Finally, earning a degree related to web development or programming is an invaluable tool for the modern small business owner looking to thrive in a highly competitive digital marketplace. With this credential, you can hone your skills and stay ahead of industry trends. You'll also have new insights into how websites work and how to optimize them. It even opens up opportunities for consulting gigs. You don't need to wait for a big project to make positive changes to your website. Do some research and put together a plan for smaller web-based improvements that you can complete on your own or with the help of a professional. These will give your business an immediate boost without breaking the bank. Once you see how easy it is to get started, you'll have plenty of motivation to tackle even more complicated initiatives in the future. Reasons to Wear Epoxy Resin NecklaceWearing epoxy resin necklace jewelry that is meaningful to you and that reflects your individuality can help boost your self-esteem. It's important to remember that the jewelry you choose is a reflection of your individuality, taste, and liberation. Epoxy resin necklace jewelry has the power to provoke a wide range of feelings, from pleasure to pride. It can put you in touch with your past and the people who have touched your life. Imagine slipping on a necklace created by the hands of someone who wishes nothing but the best for your life. The feelings invoked during the process of creating the epoxy resin necklace jewelry are the same feelings you can experience each and every time you wear it. This is why it's so important to choose jewelry made by people who live peaceful and serene lifestyles. Jewelry that has special meaning for the wearer may have a profound effect on one's sense of self-worth. Wearing jewelry is a common way for people to express their creative side and show off their social standing. With the right epoxy resin necklace, you can feel like a million bucks. How to Make Epoxy Resin NecklaceTo make an epoxy resin necklace, all you need are:
Step 1: Choose a Necklace Mold Your necklace mold should look something similar to the one in the image below. As you can see, it already provides you with a hole to slide the necklace chain through after it hardens. Step 2: Fill Necklace Mold With Charms Next, you're going to add whatever charms you want to the epoxy resin necklace mold. For the picture below, we added two sequence charms. However, for the final product picture that we show on steps 4 & 5, you'll see that the charm we added was an angel feather. Step 3: Mix the Epoxy Mixing the epoxy is easy. It will likely come in two parts, requiring a 50/50 mixture. Personally, I always add just a tad bit more hardener (part B of the mixture) to achieve the hardening effect that I desire. Pour the amount of epoxy that you'll need, which is very tiny for this necklace, into a plastic cup. Avoid styrofoam cups, as they will melt once the epoxy activates and becomes warm. You'll need to pour way less than an ounce of part A and part B. With just a tablespoon of part A and a tablespoon of part B in the epoxy resin mixture, I can fill five to seven of these necklace molds. Make sure to stir the mixture using a popsicle stick for a full two minutes before pouring. If you want to tint the mixture, add a tiny drop (a toothpick end's worth) of acrylic paint in the color you want and stir. Step 4: Pour the Mixture Into the Mold Slowly and carefully pour your mixture into the epoxy resin necklace mold. Don't pour too much, or you will cover the necklace chain hole. You can always poke a hole after it hardens, but it's tedious and time-consuming. Once poured, your mold should look like the following: Step 5: Let the Mold Sit The next step is to let the mold set for 24 hours. If you have access to an oven, you can heat it to 350 degrees and turn it off. As it cools, set the filled necklace mold in the oven on a pizza pan, with the door remaining slightly open at all times to vent the hot air. This will decrease the hardening time by several hours. Just make sure the oven is completely off and venting during the entire time in which you let the mold harden. Step 6: Pop the Resin Out of the Mold Lastly, after the resin cures, you can pop it out of the mold. The ability to see the charms inside will all depend on the tinting you perform. As you can see in the image from step 4, we made the tint way too purple, meaning we added too much purple acrylic paint to the mixture. Thankfully, though, once the mixture hardened and we popped it out of the mold, we flipped it and saw the charm perfectly (check out the picture below). Step 7: Add a Necklace Chain I personally like the elastic necklace chains the best for all of the epoxy resin necklaces that I create. An elastic necklace chain allows the jewelry to comfortably fit any person of any size. This gets rid of the headache of having to look for a new chain length. Another reason I like elastic chains is because they come in an assortment of colors, easily allowing you to change the look and feel of any necklace at any moment. Data analysts use coding all the time to perform a variety of analytics. The term "coding" refers to the act of converting human-language instructions into a computer's native language. Specifically, programmers convert their word-based instructions into a format that the computer understands by writing them in binary terms (0s and 1s), as machine language is. How Many Coding Languages Are There? As of 2023, there are nearly 9,000 different coding languages. About 700 of them are still in use on a regular basis to create software and analytics. Fortunately, data analysts don't have to learn each and every language to use ChatGPT for data analysis purposes. Reasons to Learn CodeThe ability to learn to code is no longer considered "specialized." Instead, it has evolved into a ubiquitous, foundational field used by almost every sector, necessitating an annual increase in the need for data analysts. The ability to code is a multifaceted talent. Skills like mistake detection and logical reasoning are honed in the process. In addition, the interdisciplinary and collaborative nature of software and application development provides excellent practice for cooperation and interpersonal skills gained via coding. One of the main draws of coding is its seeming accessibility. Anyone can learn to code; they don't have to be particularly good at arithmetic or have years of expertise under their belt first. Inquisitiveness, dedication to study, and a willingness to constantly practice coding abilities while learning from errors are all that are required to get started. Because of this, anyone interested in changing careers or starting from scratch might consider coding as a viable option. The top five reasons to learn code are: • Broaden your career possibilities • Increase salary with a highly in-demand skill set • Variety of languages to learn • Enhance your critical thinking and creativity skills • Find a more fulfilling career Is Coding Hard to Learn? No, not at all, especially not for those who have the self-discipline to keep at it. Some familiarity with mathematics and technical concepts is helpful, but mastery is not always necessary when it comes to coding. Learning to code requires not just interest but also persistence and careful study. What Is the Best Way to Start Coding? The best way to start learning code is to partake in a bootcamp. Most bootcamps last anywhere from 12 to 24 weeks. Many are adaptable for both full-time and part-time students, resulting in a credential that looks good on resumes and may even lead to a new line of work. Always try to enroll in a coding school that provides an intensive education in software development via workshops taught by industry professionals and real-world projects. |
