Content Marketing that appeals to all generations

Content marketing for lead generation
You already know it's important to generate leads. Let's explore three content marketing tactics that not only generate leads but appeal to all generations.

Be as Visual as Possible
We live in a society that prefers images and videos over text-only content. One reason that consumers prefer visual content is because the brain can process it 60,000 times faster than text.

From a lead generation standpoint, visual content should be a top priority. Did you know consumers only remember 10 percent of what they read when it comes in a text-only format? They can recall a mind-boggling 65 percent of what they view in a visual format, though, such as a picture with a caption statement.

Fortunately, visual content comes in a wide variety of formats. For example, adding social proof to your site in the form of logos is a great way to visually connect with site visitors.

How can you do this? You will start by writing down all the social media sites that you have profiles on. Next, you will write down the various sites your products/services have been featured on, such as CNN, Discovery Channel, Better Homes and Garden Magazine, etc.

At the bottom of every page on your site, logos for these platforms and companies should be displayed. Linked to each logo should be a URL that takes visitors to your social media profiles or the company website page you are featured on. Adding social proof to your site can increase lead generation and conversions by 400%.

Fueling a Lead Generation Campaign With Infographics
Consumers love learning interesting facts and infographics provide an effective way to engage with them. More so, infographics can fuel a lead generation campaign. You'll want to share these infographics across all of your social media profiles. By clicking on the infographic, your social media followers will be directed to your site.

If your website doesn't have a subscription feature, you need to create one. The goal is to get as many site visitors as possible to give you their email address. Once they submit their email address, you can automatically add them to your lead generation funnel.

Getting site visitors to engage with your subscription feature can sometimes be a bit tricky. Infographics can serve as a viable solution to this problem.

One method for using infographics to increase lead generation is by enticing site visitors to give you their email address in exchange for another free infographic; a free infographic serves as a very effective lead magnet. You'll be surprised at how many people are willing to delve out their email addresses for something free.

Once you have your leads' email addresses, you can continue to use infographics to push them through the lead generation funnel. For example, the emails that you send to your leads can contain more infographic material.

Embedded in the infographics should be a link to your landing page; this increases click-through rates and directs your leads back to your site and possibly ready to make a purchase. Once you get them to your site, you'll want to continue engaging them with more visual content.

Knowing How to Generate Leads With Various Forms of Visual Content
Your blog is an excellent platform to generate leads. Studies have shown that websites with blogs attract 67% more leads than sites without a blog. The key here is to blog on a regular and frequent basis and to use visual content in your postings.

The best types of visual content to include in blog postings vary from one business to another. Generally, though, effective forms of visual content that you should experiment with to determine what works best for generating leads include:
  • Screenshots
  • Infographics
  • Eye-catching images (avoid stock photos)
  • Videos, including tutorials
  • Inspirational quote cards
  • Memes
  • Call-to-actions; experiment with call-to-action images and text in different colors

Tips for a Content Marketing Manager

content manager
Are you a content marketing manager?  If so, your main responsibility (among a million others) is to create content that attracts consumers and converts them into repeat customers.  And not only is it your responsibility to attract customers, but also to get them coming back again and again to make future purchases.

How can you do this, though, especially when you have so many tasks to be taking care of?  Just when you get one task finished, it seems that another is calling your name.  Your employer is constantly hagging you for more content, but you only have so many hands (fingers).  If you had more hands, you could surely type up a higher amount of content, right?

Tips for a Content Marketing Manager

I have a solution to your problem.  I can provide you with more hands (fingers).  In fact, I have access to thousands of writers who have been heavily screened according to their writing skills and capabilities.  Each of these writers can produce for you the type of content that you are in need of.

You say, "but Whitney, my employer operates in an industry that you've never worked in!"  That's no problem.  I know people who have worked in the industry that you need content for.  Whether it be the LED lighting industry, the dental industry or even the inflatable balloon industry, I know people who can create high-quality content for you.

What's so special about outsourcing content through me?  First of all, you get the main advantage of me creating content for you.  I have many years of experience in creating content.  From feature articles to managed content to white papers, my expertise extends into many areas.  I mostly enjoy writing about topics related to addiction, the health care and legal industries, how to earn a degree, and business financing.

Even if I can't create the content you are in need of, I can outsource it to a highly-experienced writer who can.  After doing so, I'll make sure to edit and proofread the content, as well as add highly-valuable sources to it.

Gone are your days of editing.  With the content that I provide you, you can simply accept, pay and publish.  It's as easy as that.  Does it get any simpler?  Absolutely not!

I can't stress enough how advantageous it is to outsource your content marketing needs through me.  And to top everything off, you don't have to pay me until you are completely satisfied with the content that you are in need of.  That's right!  Check out my Fee Schedule to learn more about my pricing and kill fees.

If you aren't satisfied with the work I provide, you don't have to pay me at all.  If, however, you send me a project and choose to kill it before the project is complete, a 50 percent (of the original price quote) surcharge will be applied, and you will be expected to pay.  This means if you send me a project for which I quote a $50 fee and you choose to kill it before the project is completed, you will still owe me $25.

I'm a trustworthy person, and I trust you to pay me for the content you order, or in the very least, I expect you to pay me a kill fee.  If, however, you aren't satisfied at all, then I'm the one who loses and you're the one who gets to keep your money, but please remember that you won't own any rights to the content that I provide you in regards to a particular project that you fail to pay me for.

All in all, I like things simple, and I know you do too.  So, here's a major tip for you as a content manager, let's keep things simple and get your content created!  In the end, it will be a win-win situation for the both of us.

Outdoor Furniture and High-Quality Content

Writer in Kentucky
So, here's the thing.  I'm so sick and tired of not being able to afford the highest-quality of everything.  That's right!  I want high-quality products, and I can't afford them.

Take for example the new outdoor furniture that I've recently been looking at.  Man, a new outdoor sectional that my husband and I could layout on while our son dips and splashes in our 15' inflatable pool (lol) sounds awesome, right?  Yeah, that's what I thought.

I hope you can tell that I'm not being superficial.  I'm being sarcastic, and more importantly, I'm completely grateful for all the things that God has blessed me with, including my wonderful family (and our 15' wide, 4 1/2' deep inflatable pool).

But, when you get down to it, outdoor furniture is expensive.  I would love to blow my savings on a great outdoor sectional, but I know that's not the smartest move for  me to make.

Thankfully, though, there are many high-quality services and products in life that you can buy without having to empty your bank account.

In fact, if you're in need of high-quality content development, you can rest assured that I'm here to provide it to you without an expensive price tag.  If you don't like the content that I produce, you can even choose to pay me absolutely NOTHING!  If you do like it, you'll get to purchase it at a pre-determined, reasonable rate.

Does it get any better than that?  Absolutely not!

If you're in need of content, take a look at my writing samples and contact me today.

Man, I really wish buying high-quality outdoor furniture was that simple :-)

It's Friday and you have a content project that is due by the first of next week.  Whether you're in need of a white paper, blog posting, press release, etc..., the main point is that you need content and you simply don't have time to create it this weekend.

What should you do?  There's only one logical choice.  You need to hire a content creator/writer who can create the content for you.

It's OK to Outsource Content Creation

Have you ever thought about the benefits gained from outsourcing content creation?  If not, let's take a quick look at a few of them.

First of all, outsourcing your content means that you very well may be able to deliver content that far exceeds what you can create, especially if you're in a hurry.  We all know that great content comes from someone who is focused.  This makes for the perfect reason to outsource content to someone who can concentrate on it during the weekend.

Secondly, outsourcing content can make you an enormous amount of money.

Wait a minute, you say.  You mean to tell me that by paying someone to do my work for me that I can make money?  Absolutely!

If you have a project due on Monday that you simply can't get finished, it's better to outsource it to someone who can.  In doing this, you're able to meet a strict deadline and save yourself from the embarrassment of not turning in your project.

Lastly, outsourcing content means that you get to network with writers who can possibly complete work for you in the near future.  Wow!  That's something to get excited about.

Wouldn't it be nice to know that you have a highly-experienced writer in your corner to create content for you on the spot?  Well, that's what you get when hiring me.  Best of all, you don't have to pay me a salary.  All you have to do is send me a quick email when you're in need of content, and in less than 24 hours, I'll have the content that you are in need of.  It doesn't get any better than that!

So, go ahead.  Enjoy your weekend!  Even though it's Friday and you have a huge project due on Monday, you can rest assured that you have a content creation specialist in your corner to finish your content-related project(s) for you.

I'm here to help with all of your content creation needs.

If you happen to have a content project that I don't have direct experience in creating, I have thousands of connections (seriously...thousands)  with some of today's top content creators who can create for you the exact type of content that you're in need of.

Contact me today!  And while you're at it, enjoy your weekend and quit stressing about the huge project you have due on Monday.  I'm here to do it for you!

Writer Access is better than Blogmutt

5/8/2014

OK, first of all, before we dive deep into this posting, let's clear one thing up.  I've only been at this whole freelancing thing for about 3 1/2 years.  By no means do I consider myself a veteran.

On the other hand, through the experience that I have obtained, I do consider myself to be a writer who can fully meet the needs of my clients in terms of producing content when my clients clearly explain to me what their content needs are.

To put it simply, if you are in need of content, I can produce it for you.  If I feel that I will have trouble creating it for you, I will happily outsource it to one of my highly-qualified connections who has much experience in creating the exact type of content that you are in need of.

Now, onto the good stuff.  I want to discuss two different sites that provide content: Writer Access and Blogmutt.

In my opinion, Blogmutt is a JOKE!  When you outsource content through Blogmutt, you don't know if you're receiving content from a person who has absolutely ZERO experience in creating content or a person who has twenty plus years of experience in producing content.

Not only that, but you have to sift through content that is produced by any number of writers, meaning you reduce your productivity time because you have to weed out the bad content from the good.  Now, on the upside, you only have to accept and pay for content that pleases you (but the same applies to the content that you receive through Writer Access).

In fact, when you outsource content through Writer Access, you can rest assured that you are receiving content from someone who has much experience in creating content. Better yet, you can handpick your writer, meaning you know from the get go that the content you receive is coming from a writer who has the exact kind of experience that you're going after.

Don't get me wrong.  From a writer's perspective, Blogmutt is the DREAM site.  A writer with no experience at all can gain a bit of experience in producing content for clients, and possibly, just maybe, he or she might be compensated for the content that is produced.

NEVER would I want to brag, though, that I produce content for Blogmutt.  This site charges clients $89 a month for a minimal number of blog posts that come from writers who may or may not have experience in creating content.

Writer Access, on the other hand, screens its writers (and constantly reviews them)  and provides high-quality content for each and every blog posting  at a much lower rate than Blogmutt.  In fact, Blogmutt charges about $20 for a 300-word blog posting, while Writer Access charges anywhere from $5 to $50 for a blog posting that will come from a writer who has many years of experience in creating content.

All in all, my point of this posting is that if you are in need of content and you're deciding between outsourcing the content between Blogmutt or Writer Access, then Writer Access is the WAY TO GO!

Better yet, if you decide to outsource your content through me, you can bypass any type of outsourcing fee.  If, however, you would like to take advantage of Writer Access, you can hire me through the Writer Access platform by clicking on this link.
